Grand Cookie
A Grand Cookie advert that sends the same round biscuit through several invented moments in history.
The idea
“#AlwaysThere” imagines that the Grand Cookie shape has followed people through history. It turns up as an ancient object, a monument and, finally, the ice cream sandwich itself.
Each scene works as a separate visual joke, while the round motif keeps them connected. The period, material and scale keep changing, but the same shape returns until the final product reveal.
A colleague and I developed the concept together. I then made the storyboard, 3D animation and sound design, adapting several stock assets for the finished scenes. The transitions needed the most attention because they had to connect very different worlds without slowing the film down.
